Alcohol Ink Painting at Art in the Garden

A couple weeks ago we went to Art in the Garden for a Alcohol Ink Painting party. It is a MUST do!!! We had the best time creating fun art and chatting with the girls!

We learning how to paint with rubbing alcohol and ink! We were given sheets of paper, jar of alcohol, a pipette, a paper straw, and an extra small spray bottle of alcohol.

We started by dropping the alcohol onto the paper with the pipette, then we would drop our ink color of choice. Then we would blow the ink around on the paper creating different movement with the ink.

I know I keep saying this but it truly was so much fun being able to mix colors. If you let a spot dry, then added more alcohol you could move the colors around, mix the colors, create new colors, create different type of textures. It was AMAZING! We either move the ink around by blow with or without the straw.

My favorite was when we got to bring out the metallic ink!!! It creates all different type of textures and of course amazing sparkle. 😉

After a couple of test papers we were given the option to make two different type of final pieces. An art piece that was 8 x 11 or four coasters.

Finale product

It was the BEST night being able to hang out with the girl, learn new art techniques, and just have an amazing time!!! Check them out here.

The Hub Grill & Bar in Mesa, Arizona

The other night before baseball practice we headed over to The Hub Grill & Hub in Mesa, AZ. It was our first time in but it won’t be our last!

The boys loved the walls of TV’s as they chowed down on the appetizers!!!

Exploding Cheddar Potatoes: Thin-sliced HUB chips topped with melted cheese, green onions, crispy bacon & sour cream
Stuffed Green Chilies: Anaheim peppers with chorizo, melted cheese, jalapeño cream sauce & pico.

They had me at “Stuffed Green Chili’s”! Seriously, SO good!!!! I’ll be back for those chili’s! Just sayin’ 💁🏼‍♀️.

Check out their menu here!

Dinner was just as bomb as the appetizers!!

Fish Tacos: Local corn tortillas with grilled cod, citrus slaw, chipotle sauce, pico de gallo & mixed cheese. Served with black beans.
The tacos had the best hint of a bite. I don’t like things too spicy but those Cod tacos were perfect!!!
Chicken Tenders: Southern style, double hand battered, extra crispy fried tenderloins. Served with fries.

The boys devoured their chicken tenders & as they watched sports on the many screens around the place. Over all we really enjoyed this place! We will be back!

Have you been? What is your favorite thing to get from them?

Los Dos Molinos | Mexican Food | Mesa, Arizona

Holy cow, I can not believe that I grew in Mesa and didn’t even know about this place! A met a bunch of work peeps over at Los Dos Molinos for drinks. Everyone kept talking about this sangria margarita being the BEST margarita in town. So of course I had to try it!

It was even more delicious than it sounds!!! I’m not a big drinker but I could order that margarita every day! I absolutely fell in love with this restaurant. The owner and staff where so friendly and went above & beyond for ALL their customers, not just our table.

The food was AMAZING! Warning though, it is SPICY. If you are a wimp like I would recommend the sissy sauce, sour cream 🤣, and even a glass of milk if you have too! Or is that only me that needs that? HAHA

Check out their menu here! We got their green chili cheese crisp, green corn tamale, and tacos. Next time we are going to get their table side guacamole. The owner said it’s the best and with the way everything else tasted if their table side guacamole is the best then I’m differently going to give it a try!

Go order your sangria margarita I promise you won’t be disappointing!
