During spring break I took the boys to K1 Speed Indoor Kart Racing in Phoenix.
Iโm not really sure why, but both my boys were talking mad smack about how I was going to drive like an old lady. Seriously, what the heck?! (I donโt know who they get their sparkle from. ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ)
The first lap I was cruising. I made the first turn which is sharp, just an FYI, I was passing people and making my turns like a champ! Then the oldest one showed up. My back STILL hurts from how bad I spun out from that little butthead. Did he say sorry? No! He just laughed and kept going. I tell you, he is lucky I love him!!! But I totally started driving like an old lady after that. ๐คฃ๐ They must know me or something! ๐ค๐ฅฐ
Between races the boys challenged each other to air hockey. It was seriously the BEST day, other than the massive backache. But I would do it all over again because there were many laughs & memories made. I call that a mom win. ๐๐๐
Thank you @amanda___marie___ for sharing your families Chalk the Walk art with us!!!!
One of the many ways families are keeping their kids entertained while we patiently wait for the germs to leave is to go on walks. It is gorgeous outside!
To make those walk more entertaining neighbors are decorating their walkway with chalk art for families to enjoy!
What a great activity to do while we wait! Show us your Chalk the Walk art by tagging us on IG @Go.Arizona and donโt forget to go on a walk through your neighborhood to see everyoneโs chalk art!!!
A couple weeks ago we went to Art in the Garden for a Alcohol Ink Painting party. It is a MUST do!!! We had the best time creating fun art and chatting with the girls!
We learning how to paint with rubbing alcohol and ink! We were given sheets of paper, jar of alcohol, a pipette, a paper straw, and an extra small spray bottle of alcohol.
We started by dropping the alcohol onto the paper with the pipette, then we would drop our ink color of choice. Then we would blow the ink around on the paper creating different movement with the ink.
I know I keep saying this but it truly was so much fun being able to mix colors. If you let a spot dry, then added more alcohol you could move the colors around, mix the colors, create new colors, create different type of textures. It was AMAZING! We either move the ink around by blow with or without the straw.
My favorite was when we got to bring out the metallic ink!!! It creates all different type of textures and of course amazing sparkle. ๐
After a couple of test papers we were given the option to make two different type of final pieces. An art piece that was 8 x 11 or four coasters.
Finale product
It was the BEST night being able to hang out with the girl, learn new art techniques, and just have an amazing time!!! Check them out here.

Fish Tacos: Local corn tortillas with grilled cod, citrus slaw, chipotle sauce, pico de gallo & mixed cheese. Served with black beans. The tacos had the best hint of a bite. I don’t like things too spicy but those Cod tacos were perfect!!! Chicken Tenders: Southern style, double hand battered, extra crispy fried tenderloins. Served with fries.
The boys devoured their chicken tenders & as they watched sports on the many screens around the place. Over all we really enjoyed this place! We will be back!
Have you been? What is your favorite thing to get from them?
